About Me

A bit about me

Hi, I’m Martin, a Mechanical Engineering student with a strong interest in mechanical design, manufacturing, and problem-solving.

I created Martin Designs as a place to showcase my engineering and design projects. I enjoy turning ideas and real-world problems into practical solutions, from the initial concept and 3D model through to prototyping and manufacturing.

Through my university studies, professional experience, and personal projects, I have developed experience across mechanical design, CAD, engineering analysis, manufacturing, and product development.

My Skills

I design and develop custom parts, products, and mechanical solutions for a range of applications. My projects include replacement components, custom mounts, mechanical assemblies, CNC-manufactured components, 3D-printed parts, and engineering prototypes.

I primarily use Fusion 360 for 3D modelling, assemblies, technical drawings, and CAM. I also have experience with CATIA, SolidWorks, CNC machining, 3D printing, electronics, and programming.

My design process involves identifying a problem, developing a concept, creating a detailed 3D model, and refining the design for manufacturing and real-world use.
